poor MTN service

I was notified by sms that my MTN contract allowed me to upgrade. I struggled to do it online and the packages offered were not what I wanted. A official from MTN called me to discuss my failed option on line and could not explain by the offer he gave me on the phone was not available online. he gave me an offer that sounded reasonable but refused to send me the offer by email - I told him that if he cannot send by email then I do not wish to proceed and terminated the call - was this a **** - number was ***. Does MTN protect our private information?
