Poor feedback regarding false identity theft

VVM Debt collectors called me on behalf of MTN saying I owe MTN about R84000 on contracts taken in my name. In order to investigate this, I was asked to submit an affidavit from police and a copy of certified ID to any MTN Branch. I submitted the documents to Eastgate MTN Branch and was given a reference no USD*** and was informed legal department will call me or I can call them on ***. I was refused information regarding this case both from MTN Eastgate Branch and VVM as I wanted to find out how the account was opened etc. In the mean time VVM is sending me sms's daily to either pay the amount in full or contact the office. I made a call today to follow up as I have not been contacted by MTN legal dept. I was told there was no attachments of requested documents against the reference no. USD***. I asked why was I not contacted. I went to another branch to resubmit the documents at Mtn Northgate Branch and received a new reference no USD***. With the new reference number I called VVM no note the reference number. I am frustrated by this 2 companies for not being helpful in this case. Today my husband received an sms that I have been listed at CPB Credit Bureau<br> <br>
