Poor communication cost me data
I bought a ****le and a SIM as a backup measure for when our internet at work drops. I haven't had to use it in a while. Last week, our internet drops, so I try to use the ****le and it doesn't respond. I load 3GB of data on it, and still it doesn't respond. I called MTN today - they've deactivated that SIM, and allocated it to someone else. But they sent an SMS warning me it was going to happen - to a SIM that is sitting in a ****le!! How on earth was I supposed to have received that message???? So now I've GIFTED a total stranger 3GB of data, and I can't get it back. "That's how it works" they tell me.

26 Feb 2020, 08:32I bought it as a backup for when our internet at work goes down - this isn't a daily, or a weekly, or even a monthly occurrence. But I need a backup for when it does happen. Only when I needed it, did I find out that you had rendered it useless! AND then allowed me to load 3GB of data onto a SIM that no longer belonged to me! The least you could have done was credited the 3GB of data back to me! *I* RICA'd that SIM - it should be mine until *I* actively deactivate it! OR you should have contacted me on an alternative number to inform me that you were about to deactivate it - how can I receive communication on a SIM that is sitting in a router???
