Poor communication and service - Repair Centre

I upgraded my contract with MTN Carnival Mall a month ago (27/03). I received a Sony handset which was faulty. I was advised that I could take the handset to the Repair Centre in Midrand for a warranty assessment (21/04). The information provided was that an assessment would be done and I would receive a collection number straight away so I can collect a new handset from the store in Carnival Mall if the warranty assessment was approved. I went to the Repair Centre on the Thursday but was advised that there was a stock take and the collection number would only be supp**** on the Monday. I phoned the call centre on Monday but was requested to phone back in 2 hours as the warranty assessment has been approved on the Sa****ay but the collection number was not available yet. I phoned back repeatedly until Thursday (28/04) afternoon. I was only supp**** with the collection number after refusing to hang up until I received the number. I collected a new handset which is also faulty. I contacted the MTN in Carnival Mall and was advised to take the phone to the shop, which I did. I was again advised to take the phone to the Repair Centre. Upon arrival at the Repair Centre today (Tuesday 17/04) I was once again advised that there was a stock take and that the phone would only be assessed on Sa****ay and the Collection Number would be available on Monday. The Repair Centre claims that all stores are notified of stock takes and that they should advise clients accordingly. The store also advised that a warranty assessment that is booked in at the store will take 2 to 3 weeks but the Repair Centre claims that phones booked in at stores are provided with a collection number within 3 days. The information supp**** is confusing and inconsistent. How long does this take and how can I ensure that I receive a collection number within 3 days as advised by the Repair Centre? I'm highly irritated as I am being sent from Brakpan to Midrand unnecessarily and it is fruitless waste of money and time.
