Physical violence by MTN staff member in Tokai MTN

I moved to Cape Town from East London in 2013. I immediately changed my address with MTN and was told it was done. I received my account on the app and paid it. The problem comes when you are delivered a parcel the courier demands a paper copy of your proof of address. I approached MTN in Tokai yesterday to get a copy of proof of address and was given a copy of my latest account with the old East London address. I am expecting a parcel from the couriers tomorrow and they would not accept that account with the old address on. Quite frustrated and annoyed I took a photo of the young “ lady “ to expedite my case as evidence. She had at that time come out of her cubicle to talk to another employee and grabbed my cellphone out of my hand and as I managed to grab it back she hit me twice with her hand on my arm. I was shocked, I did not retaliate except to scream out “ you hit me “. She then went back to her cubicle and after working on her computer told me my address was now changed but I could not have a copy as it would only be effective from the 12/06/2021 I then said to her that I am 71 and how dare she hit me as she is about 19 or 20 years old. Then to my face with an exaggerated smirk on her face said “ I have been in my cubicle all the time so how could I hit you? All the staff will obviously stick by her story and none of the people in the store do not want to get involved. She refused to give her name. I can go and lay a charge against her for assault but have no confidence in the police force. All I want is for her superiors to know what happened. People young or old should not resort to violence and she denies hitting me, but she is lying, as shocking as it sounds she hit me. Please get this out there. People need to be aware of MTN staff in Tokai Cape Town. Peter Botha
