Phoning friends when sitting with a customer

I know service is not always good, but my experience this morning just left me staggered. I went to the MTN store in Rosebank at 9.10 this morning. My 3G card was not working, and, with load shedding, I need it. I entered the store behind another customer. We stood waiting. There were 3 staff in the shop, two with customers and one without. Nobody greeted us, or indicated that we would be attended to. A late staff member arrived and chatted to all the colleagues. The woman who had entered with me and I reflected on how weird it was to be standing there with nobody greeting us. She got fed up and left. After I had waited for a few minutes, an unsmiling and unwelcoming employee called me to his workstation. While he was uninstalling and reinstalling the software, which I had already done at home, but he did not ask me what I had tried, two women walked by the store and he was distracted and looking at them. Then he phoned one of them to ask her why she had not waved at him. I asked him to give me his attention and he was ungracious. Never mind that I got no joy with the 3G card, which I was told was faulty and should be taken to Midrand MTN. What a horrible experience
