Phone under warranty with MTN.Yet they are not fixing it
I have the recent Huawei P10 smartphone that is on contract from MTN. The phone camera (The reason why I got the phone) started giving me a problem. All images are blur and the camera fails to focus. After doing some reading up online I suspected that it was a factory fault with the camera shutter.
I called MTN as the phone is on contract and still under warranty with them and they told me to contact Huawei directly. I contacted Huawei and they promised to pick up the phone from me within 48 hours. The Phone was picked up from me ONE WEEK later on the 06/10/2017 at 8:20 AM. On the 19/10/2017 at 14:02 PM ,after WAITING THIRTEEN DAYS, I finally received the phone.I tested the camera and it had the exact same problem that I sent it in with. I called Huawei back the next morning and I'm still waiting for them to pick the phone up from me.
I called MTN again on the 21/10/2017 at 10:39 AM and spoke to Mbalenhle (Ref. # ********** 04). I was told to go to any MTN store and get the phone replaced. I then went to the MTN store Gateway at 16:40 and spoke to Zain Mohamed who refused to replace the phone.
I called MTN once again on the 25/10/2017 at 11:55 AM
Today(28/10/2017), I went back to the MTN store at 16:23 PM and was told that MTN direct had no right to say that I can replace the Phone at any MTN store as they aren't the same. It has almost been a month that I am sitting with a broken Phone, Going in circles trying to get it repaired I purchased the phone from MTN so the headache of dealing with Huawei should be your problem.
