Phone sent for repairs and never came back

I sent my phone in to MTN Secunda for repairs on the 15th of December 2015. Since then I haven't received it back. My phone is out of warranty but still insured by an insurance (24 Hour Mobility) that was under MTN at the time. On the 18th of January 2016, I received an e-mail sending me a quotation to inform me on the price I have to pay in order to repair my phone. The following day I went back to MTN in Secunda to find out weather the insurance is going to pay for it or not. MTN gave me a number to call MTN insurance to find out why they are not paying,. After waiting for 2 hours for a consultant, I finally got a response. They sent me a form to fill out. A few days later I returned the form filled in. Unfortunately, I didn't get a response. A month later I was informed by a customer service consultant at MTN Secunda that 24 hour mobility insurance and MTN have parted ways and no longer collaborate. I filled in another form, this time directed to 24 hour mobility insurance and received a call from them on the same day. They notified me that they cannot accept my claim because it is old i.e. longer than 30 days. I then told them that my phone was at MTN repairs center and is their responsibility to send the phone to them, seeing that they knew I was insured with their third party insurance. But they didn't. The consultant from 24 hour mobility then asked me to ask MTN for a fully detailed record on why the phone didn't reach them before the 30 days expired. I done as they asked and returned to MTN Secunda. Till this day I've been visiting MTN Secunda for an update if they've sent 24 hour mobility the requested information. The consultant always responds by saying that the manager hasn't responded to her e-mail. There was clearly an issue between the two companies when they separated, and now I'm paying the price for something I had no control over. MTN picked the insurance for me. Now I haven't has my phone for 6 months and totally disappointed
