PEACE OF MIND ****** BY MTN

Subscription messages have been coming through, informing me that I've subscribed to certain sites, +- 5 a day. Funny part is on most occasions I'm not surfingthe on the internet, sometimes the balance on my sim is R0.01or data-less, but I'm told me surfing the net is the reason for all these subscriptions. I've called MTN to try and resolve this with no prevail. All I'm being told is that they can't resolve this, all they can do is cancel these subscriptions on their side, they not able to block these sites from taking my airtime. I was also given a self service number *141*5#, I guess I was starting to bore these consultants, which still is not effective. As a service provider MTN is failing it's customers, I know I'm not the only one as some of my family members are facing the same issue. Failure to resolve this makes one wonder if MTN isn't benefiting on these subscriptions to boost revenue?

Alice van der Merwe. You were too quick to respond without reading properly I guess, or you just ignored all what I said. I said content service gets to send me messages stating that I subscribed, without me being on the internet. Last night I was asleep but midnight an SMS came through alerting that ai subscribed to mobile fun, so now explain that with your fancy English. Because it seems like you quick to respond before looking into the matter. MTN has a problem acknowledge that, and fix this. I was comfortable with MTN now coz no SMSs were coming through informing me about subscriptions I know nothing about, then booooom yesterday one comes through for R30 a week because I loaded R200 airtime. This is not on.
