Payment for faulty sim card

I have a MTN contract. My sim card is faulty and I have to restart my phone over 5 times a day to get it to work. I can't understand why I'm required to pay R130-00 to get my sim card replaced when I have not misplaced the sim card. I have been to your MTN store at The Atrium. This is ridiculous

Please be advised that the sim card was not lost or damaged. The sim card was always in my phone so I can't understand why I should pay for a product I never tampered with.
