Paying for a Devise I have not received and not getting any assistance

I purchased a contract Phone in June 2017 and it was delivered to me. After 4 Months using the device, I struggled to switch it on to a point where I took it to an MTN store. I returned the phone on the 17/11/2017 and I was told that I will get feedback after 3-47 weeks. I waited for that period to end and I never received any feedback. I decided to approach the store to see if the matter was resolved, so I was told that the phone was beyond repairs as it was taken for an assessment. Furthermore, the consultant at the store told me that MTN is to give me a new device, but since I did an online application initially, I had to request this online again.

I contacted the online department, however I was given an email address as this department apparently does not have a direct contact no. I sent an email, explaining my case and I was asked to send the documents I had received from the store after the assessment was done. Documents were sent to the consultant and she told me that she will get back to me with feedback.

I received feedback saying that the phone was going to be delivered by DSV. I must expect a call from the delivery company. I waited for almost 2 weeks after that email, until I decided to call DSV to ask them when they will deliver my device, but I was told that they have not yet received a device as yet and they will contact me when they do have it.

I escalated the matter with MTN as I have been without a phone for more than 2 months now. I received another phone call from the same consultant from the online store and still promised to resolve the matter and fro, this day, I have not heard anything from them with regards to the cell phone. The last email I sent, I was asking them to please cancel my contract as I am paying for a device that I do not even have.

I have been very patient and I have to say I am very disappointed with the service I have received.

At this point, I dont really know what to do anymore.
