Paying for a contract after cancellation happened 2 months ago.... HELP

About 2 months ago I "tried" to cancel my existing contract with them and they are still billing me and having ownership of my number when all I want to do is just not pay a contract anymore. During the month when asking about anything dead silence but as soon as you owe them money they give you the run around and lying about sorting the problem. Nobody sounds like they can help you. Very disappointed in this network. No help with resolving this situation.
