Pathetic useless service

Dear Mtn

Your service leaves little to the imagination. You have such *********** staff it makes me wonder how you conduct training with them because no one can ever give you the same unified answer .I donr know we're to begin with my complaint because I have so many unresolved issues with your "service champions" as they are called but are anything but ! I have emailed complaints to the relevant department on the 14th December 2016 and have yet to receive a response . I called with a query about data sharing today only to speak to 4 *********** people who don't know what they are doing and I got transfered to a technical department to be told he only assists his clients. So what am I if I am not a client of Mtn? If you work in customer service you should have basic telephone etiquette but clearly this is not the case please train your staff on how to deal with existing customers before they become non existent. I have basically had enough of your network. Customer service is just as important as growth but you will only realise this when your client base is depleted because you couldn't help with simple issues! !!!!!! I even went as far as to read your terms and conditions but even that is so vague it gives you no explanation as to howhat data sharing works and then to be speaking to 3 people with 3 different explanations and no means to assist then bring transferred to other departments who can't help you and then back again to basic customer service. Please step your game up !

RE: Data Share

With MTN Data Share, the main account holder can add and link SIM-enabled devices such as ****les, tablets and modems and MTN numbers of their extended family and friends, free of charge. The main account holder can share data with these MTN numbers to ensure any unused data does not go to waste.

Here are the MTN DataShare features you’ll enjoy:

 • No additional once-off or monthly charges
 • A lower data-per-unit cost
 • The ability to link up to 20 SIM cards for free
 • You can delink SIM cards easily
 • No exclusions on the type of MTN SIM cards you can add
 • The ability to check the shared data balance in real time
 • The ability to check the shared data balance in real time
 • No more data wastage

How to I activate MTN DataShare?

For PayAsYouGo customers:

1. Buy a data bundle by dialling *141*2*163#

2. Activate MTN DataShare by dialling *141*5#

3. Select option 4 “Manage Data Bundles”

4. Then select option 2 “DataShare”. Here you can link and de-link numbers.

We sincerely hope that the above is in order and that we are able to restore your faith in us.

Kind Regards,

Tshepo M

Dear Tshepo

Thank you for taking the time to copy and paste your terms and conditions in response to my issue with Data Share when in fact you didn't even bother to ask what the matter was in the first place . My issue Tshepo is not that I don't know how this works but rather that your consultants can't give me a reasonable answer as to why you first need to deplete your airtime and data first in order for data sharing to kick in . Nowhere in your terms and conditions does it state that this is the case and further more the other person who is also on the same data share list hasn't been experiencing what I have been experiencing so for your consultants to tell me well then probably there is a problem with the other holder's account is not a very great response. No you have not restored my faith in Mtn if you are basically referring the matter back to the call centre who couldn't assist me in the first place . The only thing I'm looking to do is change networks to a more efficient service provider after 14 years with the Mtn network. Further more this isn't the first time I've had an issue . I sent through a complaint on the 14th of December 2016. I've yet to receive a response back when i was told it takes 48 hours to receive feedback .
