Pathetic Service - Passing the Buck!!
I was misinformed in order to secure a sale – the agent stated that I could pay R139pm each, for my 2 contracts that were due for upgrade, and that should I still want a new device, I could take a device only contract, and this was applicable for all handsets including the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ that I had pre-ordered. When MTN contacted me today, I was informed that this is not the case and that not all devices are available for device-only contracts and the newer range is definitely not available. I subsequently called back to cancel the upgrade and spoke to Nonqubiso (I think) who confirmed that it was cancelled and I would receive an sms confirming the same – no such SMS came, and when I called MTN back, I was informed that no cancellation was done. I then called Rewardsco back and spoke to Rosule and a supervisor who checked the system and said the order said ‘Failed to Save’ but also showed ‘Finalised’. And they could not conduct any cancellations and MTN would need to do the cancel on their side. And again, I called MTN and was advised that this is also incorrect information, that they do have a reversal process should I want to terminate the new agreement. This has been a painful & exhausting experience. The sales gentleman I spoke to, JT, was kind enough to provide me with the details of this department and advise that I give permission for them to Terminate this new upgrade that was done yesterday. Please assist urgently. I was advised that all my calls to them had been recorded, and if this is the case, I urge you to pull recordings and listen to the run-around and absolute frustration they put MTN customers through.
