Pathetic service from MTN
In the begining of Novermber 2020 I emailed MTN to advise that my banking details had changed for the debit order of my 6 contracts. I received an email back stating that my next debit order on 07/11/2020 would come off my new account.
After 4 months of emailing and calling MTN my debit order is still coming off my old account. I have spent over a R1000 on monthly banking and overdraft fees, not to mention my time and frustration. After my last debit order bounced because I had reached my overdraft limit, I again called MTN. To prevent my contracts from being placed on hold the lady advised me that she would do a manual debit order off my new account which to my surprise still came off my old account....
I have told my story to over 10 call agents and 3 managers (including Rhina from the the Umhlanga branch) none of which are able to sort out the issue or even call or email me back despite their promises.
Despite the friendly persona of the call agents MTNs service has been appalling. I have left multiple messages for managers to contact me and not once did I receive a call back. I am told that the problem is with their banking department which they cannot transfer me to, give me a number for or call themselves... really... pathetic!!!
So as a last resort if the debit order comes off my old account on 07/03/2021 I will be forced to cancel all six of my contracts with MTN.
