Pathetic service from MTN

Below. kindly find an explanation of my customer experience from The MTN ****arney store and MTN Insurance

I have 3 contracts with MTN and over the years the service has deteriorated that I had been considering cancelling all the contracts. However when I visited the MTN store at ****arney Mall in October 2015, Tshego Makhutne convinced me to reconsider and to renew the one contract for an Iphone 6. The phone was collected in November 2015. We had no problems until January 2016 when the Iphone started giving me problems (switching on and off whenever it felt like it). We did the software upgrade and the Iphone was good after that. I accidently dropped the Iphone and it was completely damaged in Mid April. On 17 April I went to the ****arney MTN store (Tebogo assisted me) to complete the insurance claim forms. The forms were duly completed and loaded on the MTN system. I was informed that the form would be collected in the next few days. After numerous visits to the MTN store, phone calls and more phone calls, the phone was eventually collected at the end of June and a replacement phone delivered on 8 July. During this time no loan handset was offered even after I had requested for one a few times. Very convenient for MTN, but not for the customer. Maybe the store staff must be trained on how to assist customers.

On 17 December 2015, I did an upgrade on another contract and received a Samsung 6 Edge. Tshego Makhutne assisted me with this In April 2016 I did the software upgrade. Since the software upgrade the phone started giving me major problems. When you switch the phone off it takes 45 minutes to 1 hour to go on. Sometimes in the middle of working on the phone the phone switches off and again it takes 45 minutes to 1 hour to switch on.I reported this to the store, and I was told to give it some time as it will come together. By Wednesday, 8 July I just had enough of the phone as it was switching off regularly. I took the phone to the MTN ****arney(Tshegofatso Maalo assisted me) store and was told that I needed to send it in for repairs and that the 6 month warranty had expired! I completed the forms on 8 July and handed in the phone. I was once again not offered a loan handset!, but was informed that I will have to wait for 21 days before I will receive the repaired phone. How inconvenient...in the mean time I still have to pay my monthly instalment as per my contract. I'm now without a phone! No Co-operation from MTN or the store! Up to date I have not received any feedback on what is happening with my Samsung 6 Edge!

To top it all there was zero interest from the manager, Anna Reichert. She could see that there was a problem, but was not interested in assisting with resolving my problem! Is this standard practice at MTN! Phone has gone in for repairs again(July, August and 21 September)...clearly they don't know what's wrong! Still no replacement phone!

I should have gone with my gut feel and cancelled all my contracts!
