PATHETIC SERVICE - CANCELLATIONS
MTN’s customer service is PATHETIC to say the least.
My son has a contract with MTN and he has been through all the necessary channels to cancel this contract. He went to MTN store in Clearwater mall and was also told to call 808 from his cell. Do me a favor, YOU CALL 808 – and then reply to me and tell me if you get through! I guess so many people are cancelling their contracts hence the rest of us battle to get through. Why is this the only channel to follow for cancellations? Both my husband, myself as well as my son and daughter tried all at once to get through to this number on Sunday, 1 October 2017 to no avail. MTN is useless, hence my son wanting to cancel this contract. It is like MTN does this on purpose to keep customers paying since they cannot cancel their contracts in due time.
I will take this matter further, advertise on ALL social networks if I have to, as we have the proof of trying to contact MTN for days. I have once again now been on the line for 1h30 min trying to get through after a "so called" Ronnie verified all my son's details. I told him my son works in a call center and is NOT always able to call them at their given times so my son had to sign off for 5 minutes while I put him in a conference call to have his details verified and then get put through to cancellations - my son had to leave the call and I held on for 1h30 minutes!!! PATHETIC! We will NOT be spending anymore of our quality time and money trying to call MTN. We will also place a stop order so that MTN no longer debit this account!
We now also have a reference number you provided after still telling us to call 808!.
DISPLEASED customer! - MTN, you can learn a lot from VODACOM’s customer care, TRY-IT!
