Pathetic Service

I have upgraded (renewed) my contract telephonically with David Louw on Thursday 16 July 2015. It used to be a MTN 500 anytime and it is now My Choice 350. I even asked to speak to his supervisor to give him a compliment!
Everything went well and I received the text that the new service has been activated.
This was until 5 minutes later when I received a text message to say I have exceeded my credit limit of R385.00 and my service will be suspended.
Nobody told me that this could happen. I phoned the pathetic call centre and I hold on for almost an hour to speak to a consultant.
During this time I couldn't make important phone calls which caused me to loose money.
I have send an e-mail to customer care at MTN, but I have received any form of explanation why this has happened. I really don't know why they call it Customer Care as customer service seems to be the last thing on their mind!
My reference number is UV629238 for the upgrade. On my e-mail I received a number #***6.
As I haven't received any feedback yet, I regard it as a bridge of contract. I have tried phoning again and again to cancel my upgrade and my contract but maybe these people are on STRIKE again.
