Pathetic - do not open an account with MTN. EVER!

So... Trying to close my account with MTN, prematurely, because I am simply not coming right with them.<br> <br> You'd think that at worst, you'd owe them the months outstanding of your contract.<br> <br> You'd think that after the Consumer Protection Act, it would be one month of your contract, and then the total cost outstanding of your device.<br> <br> So simple maths would prove that the sum of the latter would not and could not exceed the amount they would quote you on termination?<br> <br> Oh no trust me it is about double the amount of not the latter - but the worst case scenario I painted, above.<br> <br> Oddly every time I request them to redo the quote, they suck another amount from their thumbs - all in a span of a week. This purely points to the fact a human being is behind this, who owns a broken calculator.<br> <br> There is no ways to escalate.<br> <br> Calling them is a joke.<br> <br> Asking for a manager does not work - almost as if they are out of managers.<br> <br> The amount of times I got cut off while holding for 20 minutes plus.<br> <br> The hours I tried to spend to fix my one initial issue - now I am stuck with them, like stepping in poo.
