Pathetic customer services!

I've been with MTN on a contract for 2 years now and this is the last month until the contract comes to an end, in the two years I had requested for a limit to be added on my account atleast 4 times. Up until today my line does not have a cap on it.

1st request - I was told I can request for a limit after 3 months of having the contract. Spoke to Darryl Govender from Mobile store. 2nd - I was told that the system cannot do it for some reason therefore I should use the USSD which never worked. 3rd - I was told that it would be escalated and a limit would be added on my account (Requested in March). 4th (Current) - I was told that I have an option for "Packet switch data" and this cannot be capped. I was then told that the lady had logged my bill dispute/request to cap my account to the wrong department 7 months ago hence the reason my query was not resolved. I had explained everything to Andile Dlamini and he seemed to have understood my fraustration and told me my bill dispute would be resolved and I would have feedback in 24 - 48 hours (He also advised me that it's not my fault that she never advised me of the "Packet switch data" when I requested a limit and it's also not my fault that it was logged to the wrong department (Ref - ********** 31) . No call a week later. Called in today and spoke to Sadelo Mbakha. He advised me that the feedback was given. He also couldn't tell me why the feedback wasn't relayed to the customer. Feedback, "Customer is on an open line contract and cannot have a limit placed" 2 years and not one person told me this, last week Andile failed to mention this as well. Do these consultants not have knowledge of this? Sadelo advised me that they would have told me this at the store. Which store? My contract was taken online. I advised him to request for the call recording between Andile and I and to then send it to the department which gave feedback to my dispute last week as Andile had failed to include ALL of the details in the logging of his ticket to, "the relevant department". Sadelo also advised me that he does not know if he can get the recording as this is his first time doing this. Seriously? Should a consultant even tell me that? I have no problem with him not knowing as I advised him of the process he should follow since he didn't get much training. I then asked him to attach the call recording to ticket logged last week as this would give your billing department more insight on my dispute. When I asked how long this will take, his response, "I'm not going to lie to you sir. I honestly do not know". Doesn't your consultants have any knowlege of SLA's? I expect to have my query resolved by someone who knows more about your products and how to handle this dispute as it seems that every person I speak to comes up with a new excuse and it's really starting to **** me off!

Hi,

Did you guys not understand that this originated from a few months back when the agent forgot to mention that piece of information and "logged the request to put the limit at R1"? Go back to your records!

Thanks
