Pathetic customer service

My Mtn contract had expired on the 25th May 2015
I went to a store and was told I need to call 808 to cancel my contract, no problem
I then began calling from the 27th onwards and i held on for 15-20 min at a time to only get dropped off the call and to call again and wait another 45min to speak to a consultant, nevertheless I kept trying and eventually after many dropped calls and wasted time I managed to get through. On the 10th June, I was given a reference number *** and told I will be contacted in 3 to 5 days, its now the 21st of June and still no feedback...I called again today only to be told its still under provision to be cancelled and was given another reference number *** stating il get notified in 24hrs when my contract is cancelled and moved to Prepaid,
I do not understand, why we have to call to cancel a MTN contract when a contract was taken instore and when we do follow procedures it still does not happen, why must i get debited for a months contract that i did not wish to have in the first place. Im still gettin sms's that my contract bundles have been loaded, which part of I DO NOT WANT THIS CONTRACT ANYMORE do you'll not understand

Hello shaun gsi,

Thank you for your post.

We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this.

Kindly note that your line has been migrated to prepaid on the 2015-06-22.

The contract ended on the 2015-06-06, when doing a migration to prepaid the request needs to be sent a day after the termination date of the contract.

Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.

Regards
Lungi
