Pathetic Customer Service

I recently renewed my contract with Mtn approximately 6 mounths ago and after three months my headset had given me problems. The device is a S6 Edge and the fast charge stopped working.

I then sent the device to MTN who told me I should rather give it into Samsung which is what I did and I only received the device back after a month. the main board on the device was changed. However after receiving the device the audio jack was not working and the phone had a rattle as if something was loose inside the device and the sensor at the front of the phone did not work correctly (Dimming of the screen during a call).

Unfortunately I was rushing as I had work outside of johannesburg and I had to use the device like this for three week, bare in mind this device was only 5 mmonths out at the time! When I got back from my work trip I took my device to MTN Mall of Africa where I reveived pathetic service and I told the techical staff that I do not want this device back however they argued saying that it must first be booked and tested etc.

I told them do whatever they need to do however I do not want the same device back. Note that I took the device in just before the 6 month period! I am currently waiting for 2 weeks for a response and i had to use my 3 year old device in the mean time. I am very unsatisfied with the appauling customer service from MTN and if they do not replace the device I am going to terminate my contract within the next three days.

Do yourself a favour and never consider MTN.
