Pathetic customer service

I submitted a claim with MTN insurance on the 14th October 2016 for my damaged iphone6S, MTN insurance gave me no feedback unless I called, every time I called they gave me different stories. I called on the 18 October 2016 and again on the 21 October 2016 spoke to Ayanda, who then assisted me to arrange the collection of my phone. My phone was collected on the 24th October 2016. I called again on the 27th October 2016 and was referred to call the repair centre, which I did. I was then told that my phone has to be assessed, bare in mind that they had my phone for 3 days and no one looked at it, or bothered calling me to keep me updated. I called the repair centre again on the 28th October 2016,they advised that it is a Friday and they can’t give me feedback as my phone must still be assessed.

I called the repair centre again on the 01 November 2016, to ask if my phone has been assessed and was told that a quote of R6230.00 was sent to MTN insurance on the Friday(after I made a big moan).

I had to then again call MTN insurance to ask what’s happening(as no one feels that they have a responsibility to keep a customer up to date). I called on the 01st November 2016, no luck, called again on the 02 November 2016. I was then sent an invoice to make payment of R150.00, which I did immediately and sent MTN insurance the proof of payment at 10h15 on the 02 November. I received no feedback from MTN insurance advising that they received the proof of payment. I then did my duties and called again on the 04 November 2016, was asked by the consultant if I made the payment. At this point I was and still am highly frustrated and irritated. I told her that I sent the proof of payment, she then told me that my phone is fixed and will be dispatched. This made me very upset as they were waiting for proof of payment that I sent already on the Wednesday! I asked to speak to a supervisor which told me that she will call back, up until to date she never called. I called the repair centre to find out if I can collect my phone myself(as I’m beyond being desperate, irritated and frustrated) I was then told by the repair centre guy, that my phone is being replaced and they waiting for MTN insurance to give the go ahead. Highly irritated I called MTN insurance again! And asked to speak to a supervisor, John assisted me, advised me that they waiting for stock. I called the repair centre today to ask if they have stock, a very rude guy by the name of Lipha from the repair centre advised that they did receive stock but they can’t dispatch my phone as the payment was only allocated today and I will received it latest Friday. I made that payment on the 02 November 2016! I am highly annoyed with MTN insurance and they will be the reason why I cancel both my contracts with MTN as they have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, they all give different stories every time you call. Which tells me that they DO NOT know their processes.

I wasted time and money calling MTN Insurance and the Repair centre to DO their jobs to keep a customer updated!! Up until now I have no idea as to when I’ll receive my phone. They have a DON’T CARE ATTITUDE Towards their customers. Every time I log a claim with MTN insurance I have to FIGHT!!! Even updating my Insurance was a hassle.

I hope someone can assist me now!!!!!!!! All I want is to be kept updated and most importantly I want my phone!!! I pay for a service and all I received was a DON’T CARE ATTITUDE!!
