Pathetic and Infuriorating Sign up experience, STILL NOT A CLIENT.

I started by signing up for a package online. I received an email stating that someone would contact me. The person that phoned said the item I ordered was not in stock... (It's a SIM-only deal???). Then she said their systems are very old and the "new" Mega deals have not been loaded yet, which is pathetic considering the Mega deals have been around for a long time.

Then, I went to the Mall@reds branch and was met with probably the poorest service ever. The staff member rolled her eyes at me numerous times and obviously didn't know what she was doing, as the others kept telling her what to do under their breath.

I wanted to sign up for a MegaGigs S Top up package and port my number, and was told that the porting process had started and that I would need to come back to the branch once my number had been ported. That made no sense to me, because the way I understand it, is you get your new sim and number and then the porting happens, but I let it lie. Later the day, I received a call from the same staff member saying she had copied my ID number incorrectly and requested that I provide it to her over the phone...

About 48 hours later and my number has still not been ported. I go back to the branch and after about an hour and a half of not getting anywhere, I instructed her to cancel everything I had requested, and that took a second, INCREDIBLE.

The most amazing part, is the manager and other staff at no point stepped in to assist. They just wandered around idly not doing much. I am also amazed at how poorly other customers were treated in the 2:00-2:30 hours I spent at this store. It's as if there is no effort to assist any customers, the goal is to just get them out of the store ASAP and then to go home at the end of the day.

The staff at MTN are either *********** or untrained, and I am sick and tired of it being made my problem.

I was looking forward to joining to highest rated network in the country, now I wish I had never considered joining.
