Pass the buck...

I bought a Sansung Z2 from Mtn shop M15a in The glen on the 10th of October 2016 , today the 17 of Feb it will be going in for its 5th repair. I keep sending it in for app related problems , mtn keeps doing the same procedure ( wiping the phone ) and reloading the operating system but that is not sorting out the problem.

The shop says they can not replace it it is up to the repair center and yet each time I get it back it is" fixed", I have not left the shop the last three times before booking the phone right back in for the same problem

Under the Consumer protection act if a product is not working , should it not be replaced ?

My Response :

Good Day

I was just at the shop, I downloaded a picture off face book and it’s not clear , also I cannot down load certain pictures off Facebook.

I’m told from your *********** staff that this is because it’s a cheap phone , now correct me if I’m wrong a phone sold with the feature of Facebook should be able to handle the app. Secondly when I was sold the phone I was told it has a gps, not maps if I wanted maps I would use a map book.

I would not be in this situation if the staff was trained properly , as when the phone was bought I was not told it was not an android device, I would not have bought it in the first place , so I have left it in the shop as I can’t waist any more time there( I must have spent 5 hours in all there so far with the staff trying to fix the problems .) If they cannot sort i9t out I will send it in again as I believe if you buy a product it should work.

Personally I think the repair centre just reinstalls the software without getting to the problem.

Could you please send me the consumer protection contact details as I cannot believe it is so hard to fix a problem , if you can’t fix it as I understand a warranty or guaranty should kick in and the phone should be replaced or I should be refunded .

And if your staff are really so keen on telling me every time there is a problem with the phone that’s it’s because it’s cheap maybe they should check out other brands and see that they work.

Annoyed
