Packet Switched Data Calls

To MTN

I have been invoiced and subsequently debited an amount of R733.56 for Packet Switched Data Calls. I would like to know why this has been invoiced to me as I have a limit on my account as well as a top up option. I pay an additional R600 a month on purchasing data from you, on top of my MyChoice100 fees.

On my initial induction with the service consultant I was not informed of this cost item and therefore would like to know why I am now being billed for it? I have scanned my contract thoroughly and there is no mention of this cost impediment, which has left me to subsequently find out myself what this cost item is. I have followed your enquiry procedure numerous times and failed to get a response on the matter. MTN you are ********ly not informing your customers of this cost, blindsiding us and then hiding behind sub standard customer service levels.

This doesn't seem to be an isolated incident, as numerous customers are being ********ly billed for these \Packet Switched Data Calls". You are at risk of losing market share and I am seriously looking at switching service providers.

"""

Hello Luke-KZN,

Thank you for your post.

We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it causes.

Kindly note that you have packet switch data calls because you don't have a limit set. Your package only becomes a top up if there is a limit set up.

Regards
Rajesh

Best regards,
