Overcharged and under-notified

I am done with this miserable excuse of a telephone network. I have a 2GB a month account with this horrible network. One thing is for sure, you never know how much data you have left! I checked on the myMTN app, on the [URL Removed] website and dialled *141# to check my data at the end of last month. It showed me that I still had 300MB remaining. I disabled my mobile data on the device from that day. Two days later I get an sms. The SMS said I have used up my last data. How? I disabled it. Anyway. My bill comes in and apparently I used 149MB over my data limit. That means I have to now pay R149 as out of bundle rates are ridiculous! Even after disabling the mobile data, data was still used! OR WAS IT? The 3 methods I used to check my balance and the notification sms were all inaccurate. In fact I already used 149 MB over when I initially checked my balance. Their website, app and *141# code are all wrong and the notify sms comes in 2 days later. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me. Just another reason why I will never recommend MTN. I will always bring them down. I WILL cancel my account with them at the precise moment I am able to and I will never consider them again. END...

Hello foamy38,

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused and for the breakdown in service experienced.

We've perused your account and we see that you currently 455MB's left on your purchased data bundle and 1.6GB's on your Night Express data bundle.

We will only be able to investigate how or why your recurring 2GB data bundle was depleted after the 13th of December 2015 when your invoice has been finalized.

Regards
Tim
