Overbilling of my Top-Up ***
I was a client of Nashua and now my account has been taken over by MTN. I have a R500.00 Top-Up contract plus I pay R140.00 for 1GB of data monthly (R660.00 always deducted off my FNB account).
Since March 2015 MTN have increased my payment to R815.00 and when I queried this in May, I was told that an extra 1GB of data was being loaded onto my phone which I did not request.
I was assured that this fault would be rectified, however it was not and for the past 5 months the extra R155.00 per month is being deducted off my bank account so instead of paying R660.00 per month I am paying R815.00 per month.
Despite numerous phone calls to 808 and visits to the Pavilion Branch and Southway Mall Branch nothing has been done.
I called the customer care at the beginning of last week again, just to check if the situation had gone back to normal, and I was most emphatically assured, that on 1 August 2015 the amount to be deducted off my FNB account would be R660.00. WELL THIS WAS NOT THE CASE as R815.00 was AGAIN deducted.
I am now very displeased with MTN and would be pleased if you could kindly rectify this most unsatisfactory situation.Thank you
Eve Scheepers-Viljoen

We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it causes.
According to our records, the data bundle has been deactivated. A credit of R428.70 was processed on the 30 July 2015 and further credit of R392.10 has been requested to be passed to your MTN account, for the data bundle charged from March until August 2015.
We would like to assure you that we are actively working to improve our service levels.
