Over promising, no delivering

Last week, with much fanfare, MTN launched a one-day only 50GB a day deal. As a previous MTN subscriber, currently an unsatisfied, overcharged Vodacom subscriber, soon due for contract renewal, I thought it a good idea to give MTN a second go. I contacted a pretty unhelpful call centre and after eventually providing my details and particulars to a clearly not-interested Nombuso Mchu was told that MTN would be in contact on reference MV ********** to advise whether I qualified for the SIM deal (I indicated that I would port in February when my contract was due for renewal). On Saturday I received an SMS from MTN advising me that I did not qualify for their contract. Now here's the thing. I am a director and chief investment officer of fund management business. I have a 100% clean credit record. I am a home owner, fixed address and provided surplus certified FICA documents ********** as per the call centre's request. It's time to hold service providers to account for shoddy processes and overpromising. If I can, in some small way, assist in this drive, let this be it.

8 Days ago MTN sent me this. It seems the left hand is not talking to the right, explaining why consumers are forced onto social media platforms to receive any response from service providers.
I look foreward to see how this issue is dealt with and importantly accompanied by an explanation of how the application could possibly have been decoined in the first place. Without a single word to explain to explain why it was declined.

I shouldn't really be surprised by MTN sent me 2 sms's overnight advising me for a second time that my application has been declined. Again no communication to explain why. I will not stop with this reporting until I understand the logic here. This seems an extremely flawed process.
