Over a year MTN has ignored two cancellations and continues to bill me

I first cancelled my account in May 2015. I was told the early cancellation fee would come off my account automatically the next month... it didn't. I then tried to resolve this and eventually gave up and simply attempted to cancel again in September 2015. This time they created a retention note and asked me to pay the early cancellation fee immediately. I paid the fee, it reflected on my account but they ignored it, did not cancel my account and continued to bill me. Since the end of last year I have created many support requests, most ignored. Occasionally when a query is answered they simply ignore my request and tell me to pay my arrears account before I can cancel again. I vented on Twitter a few months ago and quickly got a response... and then nothing was done again. I got the "legal team" involved, but they are just as useless as the general support team. I don't know what to do any more as no one senior seems to be monitoring exceptionally long support queries.

I have sent proof of payment for a retention note created in September 2015 a handful of times and nothing has been done. Could you please provide this mail address I need to send it to yet again? On that note, why do I need to prove I paid the amount you requested if it clearly reflects on my statement? If you are asking me to pay the arears amounts, my account is only in arears because I closed my bank account because MTN wouldn't recoginise my two attempts to cancel and contrinued to take my money. I won't be paying for the arrears amount, technically MTN owes me money for continuing to charge me after the first ignored canclelation in May 2015. Your repy is just like the dozens of others I have recieved over the past year from other MTN eployees. I have explained the issue and instead of investigating and pulling up all my support queries I get asked to send something and it isn't even clear what proof of payment you are requesting and where I need to send it too.
