Only a total idiot will use MTN

More than 3 years ago I did something very stupid and signed a contract with MTN. The service was good till Monday (26.3.2018) in the evening when MTN decided to cut my service. I emailed MTN customer care and was given a case number [# ********** 6]. They rep**** with an email, asking me to give them my address and my ID number “for security reasons” which I did. In reply they gave me a network support reference number [SMC/ ********** 2169]. Needless to say that the service was not restored. After a week without service, I called MTN customer service and talked to a consultant. She told me that according to the information in the network, I am right now in Ethiopia. I told her that I am not in Ethiopia and she rep**** that this is the problem and if I try use the phone in in Ethiopia I should have no problem. I told her that I have no intention to fly Ethiopia just in order to use my phone and she promised to reset my number on the network so I can have service elsewhere. Needless to say that till now (4.4.2018) I have no service. I will not recommend to anyone to use MTN.
