One Day Unlimited internet bundle sham

I recently needed to update some apps on my phone including a system upgrade
I heard about there one day internet bundle, which I then loaded. I received an SMS stating that the bundle was loaded, so I promptly started using the data, I was a little nervous with regards to the bundle so I double checked the SMS again and reliazed that there was a part later on the sms saying that you still needed to activate the contract... During this time I had used a total of over R1850.00 worth of data. I then promptly phoned them telling them what happened and they said that there was nothing they could do until the bill was finalised, I waited to receive the finalisation of the bill, I then called the contact centre, and after 5 calls where each time there useless call centre agents would put me on hold and then drop the call on me. Eventually I did get a hold of a supervisor who then told me and this was his exact words.
You recieved the SMS and you used the data so it is your fault for misunderstanding the sms and MTN would not be crediting you.
I demand that MTN changed the wording of their one day unlimited SMS to something less ambigous. I will be surprised if MTN actually care to call

Hello Alertguy,

Thank you for your post.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced with our service.

Thank you for your valid points. However the one day internet SMS bundle has not been activated before you have used the data, the charges for the out of bundle rates are valid.

Kind Regards,

Alice van der Merwe
