Number recycling
Good day Sir/Mam,<br> <br> I have a number with mtn that I haven't used is a while. I want to start to start using it again but have been told that it has been given to someone else.<br> This person is still receiving all my sms's. They also have access to my whatsapp and have started using my Facebook. (both my whatsapp and Facebook are linked to that number). This is causing big problems for me. As this person has reset my facebook password(using the number in question, see subject). I am very concerned that personal information of myself has been compromised. <br> <br> Is there any way I can get back my number ?<br> I cannot have my personal info comprised like this or have anyone has access to my personal social networking.<br>

We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it causes.
Please be advised that if your pre- paid number was dormant for 3 months and over, the network picks it up as an inactive number and then number becomes recycled, making it available to a new subscriber and unfortunately you will not be able to claim this number back if its already in use.
