Number for Life

Must be one of the worst service providers in South-Africa. Timeline given of 2 - 14 days for a number for life, 30 days later and numerous follow ups no resolution. Can someone at MTN please wake up and assist to get this sorted or any advise on how to cancel the contract as I can't pay for something I can't use
