Not honoring their agreement
Background:<br> My mobile device was ****** in January 2016 and I needed a replacement device. I had 9 months left on my contract before I qualified for an upgrade. I spoke to an MTN sales representative to review my options and he suggested that I settle my account and start a new contract. He referred me to the MTN retentions department to settle my account and see if their were any other options available to me. My main request was to reatin my number with a new device.<br> <br> Situation:<br> - I logged a call with MTN retentions. (***) and explained my situation, wanting a settlement quote or any other options that was available to me. They sent me a quote.<br> - I settled my account<br> - I went to an MTN shop to apply for a contract. Was told that there is a 3 month waiting period<br> - I contacted MTN retentions department again. I did everything that was advised to me yet I have to wait 3 months before I can get a new device and retain my mobile number.<br> - Retentions contacted me telephonically and said that they will reinstate my account, refund me and allow me to upgrade.<br> - 2 weeks later I ask for an update but nobody is responding to me anymore<br> <br> <br> Please help<br> Marc
