Not complying with warranty

My sony xperia Z ultra developed a hairline crack across the screen. No physical damage on the phone and its always kept in its case. Was not dropped simply when i took my phone out my pocket the screen was unresponsive. Then i noticed a hairline crack across the screen. When searching for the issue i came across the website below stating its a manufacturers defect and is covered by the warranty by Sony them selves.
Or simply search \sony xperia z ultra screen crack problem"in google and u will see under the first result where it is mentioned.
[URL Removed]
MTN refuses to recognize this as a problem and does not want to replace the screen under warranty.
In the link above it also clearly displays which damage is covered and which is not. I am happy to supply images of the damage as proof that there is no damage on the phone.
Once again MTN disappoints with service.
Should mtn want to rectify this problem please contact me on my work number during office hours 9am-5pm as my phone is useless.
***"""

Hello FranyC2,

Thank you for your post.

HVRC (Repair centre) is guided by the handset Manufacturer's Repair guidelines and in accordance to their standards and mandates. Handset Warranty repairs are excluded in the event of damage which is physical on handsets, that includes wear and tear which voids the warranty immediately.

We regret to advise that the handset cannot be fixed/ exchanged under warrantee due to the damage on the screen.

Kind Regards
Nompumelelo
