Not answering calls

Unknown agents from various landline numbers calling me daily to inform me that my contract expires - which is not the truth. Agents insisting that I must change the contract to what they are offering me. Why not phone from MTN Head Office in Johannesburg - why all the unlisted and unknown phone numbers. Is this a ****? Can somebody please let me know as I can not get through to MTN via cell or landline numbers.
