Not advised fully

I went to MTN Mall of Africa to go open a cellphone contact with them,of which I was a bit skeptical about, especially after all the bad reviews I read about MTN and their pricey deals, and as a first timer ITC checks were essential. I was assisted by a lady who I didn't get her name who then advised that they've approved R450. At that time I was looking at a "2 for the price of 1" deal which went for R1000. She then stated that it can be escalated to which ever team overwrites credit limits. Colours were discussed, which I wasn't happy with as they didn't have the iPhone XR in the colour I wanted. I left and got a call the following day advising me that they've increased the limit to R700, which, still wasn't bad.

Yesterday, when I went to go "collect" my supposed phone, I was told that I had to make an immediate payment of a connection fee which was NEVER advised when applying for a contract phone on Saturday. The consultant seem so un-bothered by it and I left. Not only was I given attitude, but my petrol, and time was wasted. I'm even thinking of cancelling my application.
