Not actioning contract cancellations and being billed for additional months

I was advised by MTN that I needed to provide one month’s notice to cancel my contract, which I duly did. I contacted MTN in July to arrange for cancellation as my contract was due to expire in August.

However, I have now received a bill for September, despite the fact that I did not receive any data or minutes in August. This raises the question of the purpose of the cancellation process if I am still being billed for an additional month beyond the contract end date.

I request that this matter be reviewed and the September charges reversed accordingly.

I cancelled my MTN contract and provided the required one month’s notice, as advised. However, I have now been charged for the cancellation of the device and the insurance. These charges were never communicated to me when the cancellation was processed. In my previous phone contract cancellation, I was not charged anything after the contract ended. This situation is frustrating, and MTN has not provided a clear explanation or attempted to rectify the matter.
