Not a \Dear Valued Customer"!"""

I recently had an application for a cell phone contract turned down because of what the MTN online store stated was a credit record that reflected high risk. Strange thing as my bank recently upgraded me to a private client package with a significant overdraft and credit card limit. I'm aware of what they base their assessment on, but although I find it laughable, I'm not desperate for their contract. What does annoy me is that on the 3rd of August, I wrote to their customer services department asking them to clarify their decision. I did tell them that their decision was stupid, and that I will not be using their services any longer (my employer pays a small cell phone allowance which I use to keep a prepaid phone going), but I was expecting at least one of those rehe****d mails or calls in order to try and placate me. Nothing but an automated mail calling me a \dear valued customer"letting me know that someone will get back to me. Really? I have been a contract and pre-paid user of Mtn services for nearly a decade"

Hello KJooste73,

Thank you for your post

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused as result of the breakdown in the service delivery in one of our touch points.

There could be numerous reasons why the contract was rejected. This can be a default on your previous account with MTN. You might not be a bad payer but overcommitted as per ITC, or has been employed less than 6 months or not permanently employed.

Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.

Regards
Lungi
