Not a customer just an income..

Hi,

MTN as a company should be ashamed of their poor customer service and lack of care for their paying customers. Since I upgraded my contract last month I have had endless problems with them and needless to say they couldn’t care a damn of your problem as long as they get their money.

1) The phone I received on my upgrade had a problem as it could not keep the signal for long periods of times, I had then handed my phone over to MTN so that they could have it sent to their technical center.

2) NOT ONE PERSON FROM MTN contacted me to tell me the progress of my phone where over a week later I decided to call and was advised that they were awaiting a collection number from the store. I waited two days and called again only to found out I must go to the store to collect a new phone. (WHY DO I NEED TO MAKE THE CALL?)

3) I went to the store only to find out that the store was doing stock take and had to come back yet again the next day. I received my new phone which seems to be working but the batter depletes quickly even when idle but I do not want to take it in again because of the poor service and to sit without a phone for another two weeks is just not on!!

4) When it came time to get my monthly credits on the 14th I only received 100 minutes, nothing else!! I pay R349 monthly for 100 minutes?? I called 808 on 15th October where I was given a reference number for them to check the problem as to why I did not get my monthly provision and was advised to call back the next day. I called back the 16th October and was advised the I should call the following day as it is a working week and they will have time to attend the query. I called back on the 17th October and I was advised it will take 48 hours and the query has not yet been attended to. I asked to speak to the manager and whilst holding the call got "disconnected". I called back and asked to speak to the manager once again. The manager who I should leave unnamed lack the s****s of customer centricity as I advised him all my problems I have had with MTN since I upgraded and all I can get out of him is that the issue has not yet been resolved. I advised him I wanted it sorted and I do not want to call again but the help I got wasn’t help at all, it was script reading.. he probably was only saying what he says to every single customer. What service are we paying for? What the hell am I paying for if I cannot even get what my contract is listed for. Still today the 18th October I have nothing on my phone, NO DATA.. NO AIRTIME TO SEND A SMS... I can only use my pathetic minutes to phone just to say one needed sentence! I REFUSE TO BUY AIRTIME OR DATA, I AS A CUSTOMER has already paid for what is owing to me and I will not be giving anymore income to MTN unless I have too.

My fiancé also had a bad customer experience with MTN and came the time his contracted was nearing the end he did a contract buy over with Cell C and he is glad to rid the endless fights with 808. My Fiancé kept asking me to come over to Cell C and I refused as I did not have a problem with MTN and it would be headache moving over to a new service provided but now I regret it and will rather go through the hassle of moving to another service provider at the end of my contract.

GET YOU’RE YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE SORTED!! NO WONDER YOU GUYS ARE EASY TO FALL INTO NIGERIAN ****S AND DROP IN SHARES!! If this lasts any longer you will lose more and more customers, and no I am not saying that the grass is greener on the other side but I would rather like to test the other fields then wither in the one I currently am with MTN!
