Non existing service

I have upgraded my contract on the 5th of November 2019, part of the upgrade was a Samsung A70. Shortly after I starting to use the instrument it gave me issues, it got extremely hot and when on a call it switch to speaker phone by itself. I took the unit back on the 6th of December after thinking initially the issue was caused by me.

the 19th of December I follow up and was told by the technical help the instrument was send back as it is not a warranty claim. I informed the person I was not happy with that, she advised to email customer care and air my concerns there. I did exactly that. The ticket number is ***. I was informed via email that they forwarded the complaint to another department. A Bongeka Zwane requested some info which I promptly supp****. A day went by without any response from them. A Lyle came back and said they are awaiting feedback from the store. I have received a "out of office" reply from a Sonja de Bruyn, not sure who she is. This is now more than 2 weeks later and I am paying for something that I don't have or that works properly.

I can't complain about the service because I haven't received any. I have also made peace with the fact that MTN is not going to resolve the issue this year. I don't think they want to help their customers.

The customer care service, yes MTN don't care. "wegotu", quite correct, they have you around the neck and you should not expect anything in return.

Reviewer Update
Tomorrow is a month since my review of MTN. They have offered numerous apologies but it was all lip service. An apology means nothing if nothing gets done about it. I have received an email from an Edith where she told me what are being done. The joke of the matter is I knew that already and was nit happy with the response from the beginning.

I have tried other options yet nobody get back to you. It is clear as daylight to me that MTN does not care about their clients no more. Pay your account and go away.

You as client get a faulty handset out of the box. MTN will drag the matter out so long that the client eventually stop fighting about it, yet the client is still expected to pay for it, regardless if the client have use out of the handset. JUST PAY.

And there is Hello Peter, a big dog with no teeth.

My next response is going to Rob Shuter. Let us see if he is happy with the quality of service provided.
