Non existent Service from Mtn Head Office

I am submitting this complaint regarding an internet contract I signed with MTN Bela‑Bela in January 2026. Before taking out the contract, the consultant checked my address and confirmed that MTN would be able to provide reliable signal in my area. Unfortunately, from the very first day, the service never worked as promised.

The connection was off more than it was on. I had constant signal problems, the device repeatedly went offline, and every time it was switched back on, it would go off again shortly after. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, MTN was unable to provide a stable or usable service.

I want to make it clear that Corné, the consultant who assisted me, did everything in his power to help. He was professional, patient, and genuinely tried to find a solution. The problem is not with him — the problem is that MTN simply could not deliver the service I was paying for.

Because the service never worked, I decided to cancel the contract. However, at the end of February 2026, MTN still began debiting money from my account. Since then, both Corné and I have been trying to get the refund processed through MTN’s head office, but we have received no assistance and no resolution. To make matters worse, MTN is still billing me today for a contract that was cancelled and never worked.

I am requesting the following:

1. Immediate stop to all billing. 2. Full refund of all amounts debited for a service that was never functional. 3. Written confirmation that the contract is cancelled and closed on MTN’s system.

Corné has been the only helpful person throughout this process, and I appreciate his efforts. My complaint is directed at MTN’s failure to provide the service, failure to cancel the contract properly, and failure to process the refund despite months of follow‑ups.

I expect urgent action on this matter.
