No signal

I have been in different parts of the Western Cape as well as the Eastern Cape in the last two months and I never seem to have any decent cellphone reception. However, all of my data continues to be used, as if I was using my phone normally. I do not have background apps running and no matter what I do, or where I am, my signal is bad. I have spoken to many other MTN users and they are also complaining of the same thing.

If I don't have access to certain apps or can't make phone calls because the signal is so bad, and background apps are turned off, how is my data still being depleted so quickly? At the moment I am using more than 2gigs a month and my application usage shows much less than that. I have had this phone for a year and a half and have kept it well managed until recently.

Come on MTN, I have been dedicated to you for more than 15 years, don't give me a reason to go elsewhere!
