No response and no information

So my MTN contract is about to expire. I don't want to renew it, but rather want the debit orders to be cancelled and my number be moved to prepaid. I was called with regards to an upgrade and told the person calling me that I would like to cancel the contract but he didn't give me any further information on it. I have sent two emails to MTN to date in order to have this done but I'm not getting any responses or feedback:

The first email was sent on the 13th of March at 07:50 to CustomerCare. No response received.

The second email was sent on the 27th of March at 10:18 to WebMaster. No response received.

I am thinking that this is ignored so that they can continue with debiting me on a month-to-month basis after the contract expires, because I can't think of a single reason other than that to explain why I'm being ignored.

I'm hoping that this complaint will reach the relevant eyes so that I can get some answers. Note that once my contract is done (which is at the end of May 2017) I will reverse any further debit orders from MTN should this not be resolved.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the reply, but your dates are incorrect. I took out the new contract on 2015/06/01. I distinctly remember because I waited a long time for the phone (Galaxy S5) to arrive at the time. Around the date you mention I have no record of any communication from MTN. Please check this and get back to me, I need to get the ball rolling.

And no answer from MTN after the previous comment, obviously.
