No one able to resolve my query. Technical line not working. Without service for almost 3 days now

It pains me to write this review as I have had quite a good experience with MTN since I joined them 2 years ago (I actually moved from Vodacom due to their great deals).

I upgraded my phone on Monday 12 November 2018. Shortly after the upgrade went through I was unable to make calls receive calls or use anything related to data. I could only receive SMS's. I immediately contacted the consultant at Clearwater who assisted me with the upgrade (Khuliso Mafunisa). She was incredibly helpful and even called me via WhatsApp since that was the only way to get a hold of me due to nothing else working on my phone. Khuliso contacted customer services to try and assist me and asked me to do a few things like switching my phone off and on again, but nothing seemed to work. I then called customer services myself (from my ****le simcard) and logged a query to get this resolved (reference number: 1- ********** 4676). I also shared this with Khuliso who said she will try and escalate it from her side. On the 14th of November (after more than 2 days without the use of my phone due to this problem),I received an SMS at 16:20 that the query is resolved. As instructed I rebooted my phone (several times) but I still have the same problem.

I immediately called the customer services again, who said that they have resolved the issue and referred me to their technical line 1555. Once I got there I spoke to Nosipo (who also indicated that it has been resolved according to the system). Nosipo then said that she will try something from her side and call me back. I am still waiting for the call which was supposed to happen over an hour ago.

Since I did not hear back from Nosipo I called 1555 again and another consultant tried to help me. She mentioned that it had something to do with roaming . She asked that I switch off my phone for another 15 minute while she fixes the problem. This did not work either.

Since then I have been calling 1555 (I have now tried 5 different times), every time I get through to an operator the line goes dead as soon as I start speaking.

I have now been without access to outgoing calls, incoming calls and data since Monday which is a big problem since I am a consultant and this is the only phone my clients can reach me on.

Since the line just goes dead when I call 1555 I am unable to speak to anyone to try and resolve this further, which is why I have now decided to try and get a response through writing a review.
