No Delivery of handset.

I am with a service provider who's network coverage is not great so I decide to take out a new contract with MTN because i understood that they had the best national network coverage. My application was processed very quickly, the call centre agent (online application) was very friendly and the application was approved on the 9th of august. That is where the good news ends. One week goes by, no word from the courier service or MTN, so i decide to phone them, the excuse is that MTN has changed from courier service and that there is a back log of orders and admin that needs to be completed. Surely it would seem logical to tell me this when i first app**** for my contract? And why would there not be any measures put in place to mitigate any problems of handset delivery? Secondly trying to get hold of a call centre agent takes a good 10 min of waiting on the line. But any ways, week 2 comes and goes, still no word, week 3 also, diddly squat, we are now at week 4. I called yesterday again so that i can cancel the order as i have been approved with another service provider YESTERDAY and my handset will be delivered TODAY.... Just saying... Use that info, or don't... I have been very friendly, calm and understanding but almost a month of zero word from MTN is a bit excessive don't you think? Lastly when i called to cancel my order i was told that an online sales agent will contact me, still haven't been contacted, then i was told that when (if at all) the courier service delivers the handset i should just decline it. Guys, this is not how you treat a first time customer as i will never be purchasing anything from MTN after this...
