No coverage in building for 9 months
In mid June 2014, the building where I work in the centre of Cape Town, lost MTN coverage. After many phone calls to MTN coverage, they found out that the connection to our building had been lost because of building works in another building. We understood this and knew that it would take some time to correct.

Now, nearly 9 months have passed and still nothing. This is affecting our business badly, as when customers need to use their cellphones, we have to ask them to please leave the building to get coverage. Many do not come back. There is also a problem when we need things such as one time pins.

I have been dealing with Wayne at MTN coverage. Many times he does not even bother to answer his cellphone. I think that he knows my number already. I have also been dealing with Shane Nell at head office in Johannesburg. The trouble is that they never bother to get back to you and let you know what is happening. You have to constantly phone them. I think that this whole saga has been dealt with exceptionally badly and that both Wayne and Shane lack customer service qualities. A case of the wrong people for the job.

MTN really need to catch a wake up.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I am terribly sorry for the inconveniences experienced as a result this. I completely understand the frustration it causes. The matter has been escalated to the coverage management team for urgent investigation. They will contact you directly with feedback and an action plan.
