No Assistance. No one can help. Being sent around.

Im trying to port my number from CellC to MTN. You would think MTN would like to assist in me doing so sooner than later. I have to give cellc 30 days notice to cancel my contract. However they did advise me that I can port my number sooner. All I have to do is tell MTN to put the porting request through as contract. I have spoken to several MTN call center agents who could not assist and was instructed to go to a store. I went to TWO MTN stores where the first sent me to another and the other said they cannot do porting in store. Cellc keeps telling me they get the port request (when I do it via sms) but its going through as a prepaid port request (whatever that means. I dont know how porting works). I then sent an email to MTN to ask for assistance and if they can submit the port request as contract and not prepaid. The reply I got on email is \ MTN's processes of porting are that port requests can only be submitted at an (MTN store/Sales agent) or via the sms method."- THIS ISNT WORKING!!! NO ONE IS HELPING ME!!!"""

Hello clembez,

Thank you for your post

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced with our service.

We have requested the store management to assist with the port and they will revert to you with feed. You will have to take your ID, contract account number and proof of address so that they can submit the port.

Kind Regards
