New MTN contract signed but porting of number delayed

I signed up for an MTN contract (MTN Choice+S Sim Only) on 7 September 2016. I am a first time MTN customer. I signed up at MTN Oakfields, Benoni. According to my contract, Ms. Jenita Laufs was the person who processed it. I also requested a port to keep my previous Cell C number and port to the new MTN SIM.

I received an sms from MTN on Friday 9 September 2016 at 17:27 that my port request has been received and is was being processed. 2 minutes later, at 17:29, I received a second sms indicating my port request has been approved and is ready for Port activation. I have attached proof of this.

I collected my new sim card on the morning of Saturday 10 September 2016. I was told by Ms. Jenita Laufs that the contracted also was activated on the system from 9 September 2016. I queried when the port will be done. I was told that it should be done by midnight on the day. If it doesn't get done, I should phone the MTN port call
centre on ********** 667. However, the port did not happen. I tried phoning the MTN port call centre on the morning of Sunday 11 September 2016 and was told by the automated voice that the call centre is closed due to maintenance.

I phoned the MTN port call centre on the morning of Monday 12 September 2016 and spoke to Maggie. I asked why my number was not ported as yet. She indicated that the number was set to be ported at a future date - 7 October 2016. I asked how is this possible because I signed the contract on 7 September 2016, and it got activated on 9 September 2016. Why was it set for a future date? Was this a mistake on the part of MTN or by MTN Oakfields? I would have lost out on 28 days of the contract if I didn't query this.

I also then found proof on the copy of the contract that the "ConnectDate" was indeed set to 7 October 2016.

I requested Maggie for the port to happen immediately. I provided the MTN sim serial number that was issued to me by MTN Oakfields. She then indicated the port will happen in the next 24 hours.

The reference number that Maggie gave me is: **********

I would like to know why the port date was set at a future date of 7 October 2016 and was this intentional or
unintentional? Also, since my contract got activated on 9 September 2016, I have already lost out on 4 days
(inclusive of 9 and 12 September 2016) of using my contract. I could not phone, sms or use data during this
period. I request that I be credited for these 4 days unless the port does not take place in the next 24 hours, I
request I be credited until I am connected to MTN.

Below is a download link for the proof of the sms I received for the port approval and the proof of the page in the contract with the "ConnectDate" is set to 7 October 2016:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B0_mrK6vv1T6dGtzVERVeEd1d00?usp=sharing
